We had the chance to spend time today at the Road Safety Education Limited (RYDA) Road Safety Education Program at Sandown Greyhound Racing Tracks, and it really left an impression.

What makes this program so worthwhile is how real it feels. It’s not just rules and road signs, it’s honest conversations about the choices young drivers face and how quickly things can go wrong. You could see students properly engaging with it, thinking things through, asking questions, and starting to understand the responsibility that comes with being behind the wheel.
It’s also a reminder that road safety isn’t just a “learner driver” issue. Every one of us plays a part in keeping our roads safe, and a bit more awareness and patience goes a long way.

Our club is pleased to support a program like this. It’s practical, grounded, and it’s making a difference where it counts.
Thanks to Anton Hockey and the entire team for putting it together and delivering it so well.
