πŸŽ„βœ¨ A Magical Christmas in July! 🎢🎩
What a fantastic time we had celebrating πŸŽ…πŸ»Christmas in July πŸŽ…πŸ»πŸ€ΆπŸΌat our recent Fun & Fellowship meeting! While it may be mid-year, the festive spirit was in full swing with laughter, music and plenty of cheer. ❄️❀️
🎩 A highlight of the day was our Festive Hat Competition β€” and what a display it was! Congratulations to all who took part and added an extra sprinkle fun to the celebration with Christmassy tablecloths, candles, crackers and Christmas serviettes with Roast Dinner & Plum Pudding served!
Events like this remind us of the power of community β€” coming together to celebrate, smile, and make memories no matter the season.
Thank you Judy Hasnat, Abul Hasnat, Andrew & Rosemary Goddard for organising this fun & fellowship event and everyone who joined us to make Christmas in July such a heart warming success! πŸ’«

Judy Hasnat as Chairperson for the evening began by advising there would be a hat competition judged by Andrew Goddard.

Everyone was asked to crack their bon-bons and come forward with their bon-bon jokes, many of which were amusing.

Hats were then paraded, mostly the traditional Santa hats, but the exceptions stood apart with the following winners declared. 3rd prize Sandra Pyke 2nd prize Di Alper 1st prize Risa, our Rotary Global scholar with a hat illuminated with many lights. (see pictures following)

Judy then gave many thanks to the organisers who set up the venue (Andrew and Rosemary), Sam for loaning his Christmas tree and lights, and Secretary Gordon for the music.

She also thanked all for attending. Gordon advised the music was taken from a renaissance collection of 2,000 songs from very early years, from a renaissance group formed by Scott Evans.
